The Truth Social API in 2026: what the official one costs, and how to get posts without it

A Truth Social post can move a stock, a prediction market, or a news cycle before most people have seen it. If you're building an alert bot, a newsroom tracker, or an archive of what elected officials say there, you need those posts as data.

Truth Social never had a developer portal. In July 2026 it got an official API, priced for trading firms. I read Trump Media's announcement and SEC filings, tried AnyAPI's three Truth Social endpoints on 20 accounts on October 3, 2026, and priced the rest from their own pages.

Here's what each option is for.

What makes a good Truth Social API?

I'm assuming you're a developer who needs posts from specific accounts: a politician's feed in a dashboard, a Slack alert when a company account posts, or a few months of posts for research. Here's what I compared.

• Access you can actually get. A sales process built for banks doesn't help a weekend project.
• Which accounts it covers. A fixed list of top accounts is fine for trading on the president's posts and useless for tracking a state senator.
• Fresh posts, and how they reach you. You either ask for new posts on a schedule or have them pushed to you.
• Price at your volume. Prices below are for 10,000 calls a month, about one check every five minutes on one account, or the vendor's closest unit.

Truth API

Truth API pros:

• Trump Media's own data, licensed, so you aren't depending on anyone reading Truth Social's pages
• Posts delivered in milliseconds, around the clock, with an archive back to 2022

Truth API cons:

• No sign-up page, no public docs, and no published price: you email a licensing team
• Covers "certain top Truth Social accounts", and Trump Media hasn't published which
• Its CEO puts customers at $60,000 to $100,000 a month

Trump Media announced Truth API on July 16, 2026, and it went live on August 1. The press release calls it "a new business-to-business data feed" for "the highest-ranking Truth Social accounts", designed for "high-frequency and algorithmic trading firms". It also says "until now, no official, integrated API has existed". The way in is an email to licensing@tmediatech.com.

Trump Media hasn't published a price, but it has filed one. On August 6, 2026, it filed a Financial Times interview with its interim CEO, Kevin McGurn, as an exhibit to an 8-K. In it, about 10 groups had signed, "mostly high-frequency traders", at "$60,000-$100,000 a month, McGurn says".

Which accounts are in it isn't public. Trump Media's quarterly report says the feed covers "publicly-available posts from certain top Truth Social accounts". The FT piece names Dan Scavino's and Kash Patel's accounts as examples. If you're tracking anyone outside that list, it can't help you at any price.

On CNBC on August 24, McGurn said customers get "a 50-millisecond advantage" and that he wants to license it to retail trading platforms, AI companies, and prediction markets next (transcript, also filed with the SEC). For now, it's a feed for firms that trade on the president's posts.

What about the API Truth Social already runs? It's built on a modified Mastodon, and its /api/v1/instance endpoint still describes itself as "3.4.1 (compatible; TruthSocial 1.0.0)". But a plain request on October 3 for an account or its posts got a Cloudflare "Attention Required" page, not JSON.

Best Truth Social API for profiles and posts billed per call

AnyAPI

AnyAPI pros:

• Profiles, a feed of recent posts, and single posts by URL on one key, billed per call from a prepaid wallet
• Up to 20 posts a page, with likes, comments, reposts, and a timestamp on every post returned
• Worked on small accounts too: two with about 1,100 and 3,200 followers returned posts back to 2022

AnyAPI cons:

• You poll for new posts; nothing is pushed to you
• Media links come from the single-post endpoint, not the feed

AnyAPI is the pick if you need a handful of accounts, or a few hundred, read from code without a plan. You send a handle to truthsocial.user_posts, and you get the account's newest 20 posts and a cursor for the next 20.

Every call came back with a 200, and each charge was the lowest published price or nothing. The whole test cost $0.10.

How far back 60 posts go depends on the account, so poll the busy ones often. Three pages covered two days of Trump's account and Newsmax's, and eight days of the White House's. For Eric Trump's account, the same 60 posts went back 2.7 years. If you're alerting on new posts from a busy account, one page every few minutes keeps you inside the newest 20.

Reposts come back as their own rows, with the text RT: and a link to the original, and a post that's only a video or an image has empty text, so expect some blank rows. Send the post's URL to truthsocial.post when you need its media.

For a profile snapshot without posts, truthsocial.profile takes the same handle. Trump's account showed 13,091,599 followers and 36,972 posts on October 3.

AnyAPI pricing: $1.20 per 1,000 calls for the posts feed (20 posts a call, so $0.06 per 1,000 posts at a full page), and $1.10 and $1.10 per 1,000 for profiles and single posts. A call the cheapest source can't answer goes to a backup, which costs up to $3.60 per 1,000. Prepaid, no plan; new accounts get free credit, no card required.

SocialCrawl cons:

• Priced in pounds
• The Growth pack's 20,000 credits are shown against a struck-through 8,000, so check the pack size when you buy

SocialCrawl lists Truth Social as "3 live read endpoints for public Truth Social data": profile, user posts, and post. Each returns the same envelope as its other 68 platforms, so a post from Truth Social looks like a post from Bluesky or Threads in your code.

That's the reason to pick it: if your app reads several networks, one schema saves you a parser per platform. If you only need Truth Social, the other options here are simpler to price.

Muhammet Akkurt's Truth Social Scraper is the most used of the Truth Social actors on Apify's store. You start a run with a username, and it writes each post to a dataset with its media, replies, and engagement counts. It remembers the last post it saw for each username, so a scheduled run collects only new ones.

It suits a nightly export of a few accounts into a spreadsheet or warehouse. For polling one account every few minutes, the per-run fees add up: each run costs $0.02 on the Free plan before a single post.

Best Truth Social API for instant alerts on a few accounts

• Pushes each new post to you over a Discord bot or, as an add-on, a WebSocket
• Any public accounts you choose, with retruths and quote chains in the event

1322 cons:

• $300 a month for five accounts before WebSocket delivery
• Plans cover individual or internal monitoring; resale needs a separate agreement

1322 does the polling for you. You put up to five accounts on a list, and each new post arrives in your Discord server, or over a WebSocket if you pay for the add-on. Its pricing page says its priority service for realDonaldTrump and WhiteHouse typically runs around 50 milliseconds.

If you trade or bet on what a few accounts post, that's the job it's built for, at a fraction of Truth API's price. If you need posts from many accounts, or history, a per-call API is cheaper.

Which Truth Social API should you use?

• You're a trading firm that wants a licensed, pushed feed of the top accounts: email Trump Media about Truth API.
• You need profiles and posts from code, pay as you go, for any number of accounts: AnyAPI.
• You already use ScrapeCreators for other networks: add its Truth Social endpoints.
• Your app reads many social networks and you want one schema: SocialCrawl.
• You want a scheduled export of a few accounts into a dataset: Apify's Truth Social Scraper.
