The audit log is a record of changes made to a Team: who made each change, what changed, and when. Use it to answer questions such as who created a key, who changed a spending limit, or who removed a member. The audit log is available on Teams only. Personal accounts don’t have one.

Open the audit log

Only a Team’s Admins can see the audit log. Switch to the Team, then open Account > Audit log in the dashboard sidebar, below Members. Entries are grouped by day. Each entry shows:
  • The time of the change.
  • Who made it, and the role they had at that moment.
  • What changed, such as a key’s old and new name.
Names stay readable after a person leaves the Team or a key is deleted.

What the audit log records

API key values never appear in the audit log. Auto top-up changes are recorded once the payment service confirms them, so in rare cases one can be missing from the log.

What it doesn’t record

  • API requests. See your request history.
  • Money in and out. See Wallet activity on the Billing page.
  • Sign-ins.
The audit log starts on the day the feature launched, and the page shows that date under its title. Changes made before then aren’t in it.

How long entries are kept

Entries are kept for as long as the Team exists.
